Barack Obama is on the wrong side of history, but narcissists never see reality.

His arrogant and dangerous insistence that Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu continue the ban on building in the “settlements” prove that he isn’t biblical in his worldview.

And whether it’s Martha’s Vineyard or Europe, the Obamas just can’t seem to say no to  glitzy, taxpayer-financed vacations. With a wheezing economy, disjointed strategies for defeat our bloodthirsty enemies, and socialist dry rot on the horizon, one would think the American president might have other things to do besides vacation and bully long-time allies.

Even if American administrations and succeeding joint chiefs have pushed the leftist position—since the Six Day War—that Israel should return territories won in wars of existential danger, they have all understood behind-the-scenes realities: a greater Israel, or stronger Israel ultimately is a boon to the United States.

Israeli intelligence-sharing in the past 40 years alone has proven to be literally priceless.

And if you’ve been able to travel to Israel, you understand just how vital the terrain itself is not only to Israel’s defense, but also to the U.S. In effect, we have bases in the Middle East due to Israel’s existence.

And the steep, rocky hills of Israel’s heartland—what the Bible refers to as the mountains of Israel/Judea/Samaria, and the world calls the West Bank—are a natural barrier to invading armies. So long as Israel controls that territory, no foreign entity will conquer them.

Obama, though, led by his Marxist philosophy, longs to see a de-fangedIsrael. It is why he keeps pushing. He also said this week that time is running out on the Palestinians:

“Obama pledged to help keep fast-track peace talks from breaking down, and said Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas knows ‘the window for creating a Palestinian state is closing.’”

That is nonsense and Obama knows it. In fact, the pressure on Israel will increase to the point a war of final extermination will be launched against the Jewish state.

And if Emergent false teachers like Brian McLaren want to say that such a statement is the self-fulfilling prophecy of a right-winger, then he needs to read his Bible again. The biblical story is not one of Dominionism and New Age claptrap promoted by McLaren and his friends; it is that mankind is going to destroy Earth unless the Creator intervenes.

That view doesn’t jive with Obama and McLaren, who clearly feel man can solve his own problems by appeasing killers.

There are now 7.4 million human hearts beating in the Land of Israel, praise be to God. This is the most stunning fulfillment of prophecy in our lifetime, and a clear, clear signal that Someone is in charge.

There are rumors that Netanyahu is willing to compromise over Jerusalem. I hope that is not the case.

However, it doesn’t really matter what he has in mind. God is in control, of that I have no doubt. He doesn’t need Rick Warren’s Dominionism, or McLaren’s New Age eschatology, or the vacation-mad Obama’s recipe for Utopia.

When Israel approved building in Ramat Shlomo in the spring, the Americans erupted. This led to a 10-month “freeze” in building in the “settlements” and that includes demands about east Jerusalem and for natural growth needs. These are outrageous demands.

The combination of Obama’s menacing meddling, and envoy George Mitchell’s hapless left-wing approach to negotiations ensure that the situation will remain volatile.
